Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Stress Killer Stories Arena, including our website, mobile experience, and related services (together, the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are making payments on the Platform — subscribing, buying a book, tipping an author, or requesting a payout — you confirm that you are legally able to enter into that transaction under the laws that apply to you.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether or not you authorized it, unless it results from our failure to keep the Platform reasonably secure.

2. The service

Stress Killer Stories Arena lets authors publish stories and lets readers discover and read them. Some chapters are free; others are Premium and require an active subscription, a one-time purchase of that specific book, or — where a story doesn't offer individual purchase — a subscription. Readers may also send optional tips directly to authors. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform, including specific payment methods or features, at any time.

3. Payments and Mobile Money

Payments are processed through Mobile Money providers (currently MTN MoMo and Airtel Money). Some payment methods may be temporarily unavailable while we finalize a provider integration — where that is the case, the Platform will tell you rather than accept a payment it cannot complete. Prices are shown in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) unless stated otherwise.

Because subscriptions, book purchases, and tips grant immediate access to digital content or transfer funds directly, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or explicitly stated otherwise. If an author removes a book you've purchased, you will be notified; your payment record is retained, but access to the removed book cannot be restored.

4. Author content and publishing

Authors retain ownership of the stories and chapters they publish. By publishing on the Platform, an author grants Stress Killer Stories Arena a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, reproduce, display, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform. This license ends when the content is removed, except for copies reasonably required for backups, legal compliance, or records of completed transactions.

Authors are solely responsible for making sure their content does not infringe anyone else's rights and complies with these Terms.

5. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the Platform to:

• Publish content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or that plagiarizes someone else's work;
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate another person;
• Upload malware, scrape the Platform at scale, or attempt to bypass access controls or payment checks;
• Use the Platform to launder money or disguise the origin of funds through tips or purchases;
• Create multiple accounts to evade a suspension or manipulate rankings, likes, or reviews.

6. Moderation and removal

We may review reported content and, at our discretion, remove content, reject or take down a story, or suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms. Where practical, we will tell you why action was taken against your content or account.

7. Author payouts

Authors may request a payout of their eligible tip and book-sale earnings once those earnings meet the minimum payout threshold shown in the Author Studio. Payout requests are reviewed and processed manually to the Mobile Money number the author provides; processing times are not guaranteed. We may decline or delay a payout to investigate suspected fraud or a Terms violation.

8. Intellectual property

The Stress Killer Stories Arena name, logo, and platform design are our property or used under license. Nothing in these Terms transfers any of our intellectual property to you, except the limited right to use the Platform as intended.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular payment method will always be available. Story content is created by independent authors; we do not endorse and are not responsible for the views expressed in it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stress Killer Stories Arena will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, and reserve the right to remove content or refuse service at our discretion.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
